Let The Sky Fall by Shannon Messenger - Review by Fallon

Author Description:

Vane Weston should have died in the category-five tornado that killed his parents. Instead, he woke up in a pile of rubble with no memories of his past - except one: a beautiful, dark-haired girl standing in the winds. She swept through his dreams ever since, and he clings to the hope that she's real.

Audra is real, but she isn't human. She's a sylph, an air elemental who can walk on the wind, translate its alluring songs, even twist it into a weapon. She's also a guardian - Vane's guardian - and has sworn an oath to protect him at all costs.

When a hasty mistake reveals their location to the enemy who murdered both their families, Audra has just days to help Vane unlock his memories. And as the storm winds gather, Audra and Vane start to realize that the greatest danger might not be the warriors coming to destroy them, but the forbidden romance growing between them.

Fallon's Description:

5 out of 5 Stars

I loved this book so much. I have read a lot of elemental books and this book stood apart. I have always been fascinated with wind and tornado's. Let The Sky Fall is so unique, I loved the mythology entwined in this story. I cant wait to read Let The Storm Break.

My thoughts on Audra - she is tough as nails warrior. She has had to become that way through her life. I loved her character. She breaks down those barriers at times and softens around the edges. Audra has punished herself for past mistakes she made as a child. Her mother was a tough character to relate to but that was the point and I liked the conflict of this character in the story. She is not the type of mother that tucks you in at night that's for sure.

My thoughts on Vane - Let me swoon! Vane doesn't remember anything about his childhood. Parents gone and dead and know memory of them. His memories disappeared with a storm when he was a child and the only thing her remembers is a beautiful girl who appears in his dreams at night. Vane has never been successful in love. His friend sets him up on another blind date. It is a disaster he sees the girl of his dreams and runs after leaving Hannah in the dust.

I love Vane and Audra's love story. Vane fights for her against all the obstacles Adura constantly puts up. She is his guardian and not suppose to bond with Vane. This book is a must read. I am giving this book 5 out of 5 stars. I will have a review and Giveaway of Let The Storm Break next week.
