Giveaway ~ Beginnings: Obsidian & Onyx (Lux #1-2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout ~ Review by Fallon

5 Out of 5 Stars

Seeing Double In Neverland's Review:

I couldn't put this book down. Who does not want to knock on their neighbors door and find Deamon Black. Well that is what happens to Kat when she moves to a new town and decides to knock on the neighbors door to ask for directions. Kat sees Daemon for the first time. Hot body and piercing green eyes. So hot till he opens his mouth.

Kat  goes to the store and she meets Dee for the first time. Dee is Daemon's twin sister and she is definitely more friendly then Daemon. People immediately make her suspicious that something is off about this place.

Kat becomes best friends with Daemon's sister Dee, against Daemon's wishes. Things spiral out of control and Daemon finds himself having to be around Kat more and more.

I loved that Jennifer tied in Kat being a Blog Reviewer, it was a nice touch that was very relateable to all of us who love reading and reviewing her books!

Very steamy and forbidden. I loved it. The only thing that got frustrating and why I gave it four stars was Katy and Dameon's tension all the time. With everything they went through I would have thought it would have melted a little. This is a must read. 4 out of 5 stars

Now with Daemon pursuing her, Kat does not know how to feel. Daemon wants Katy to like him and is determined to prove she does. All the rejection she faced from Daemon, has her head spinning. She becomes very sick and Daemon saves her. Still something is off with Kat and they need to find out what. I love how Kat gives Daemon a taste of his own medicine in this book.

Katy has new powers and she has to be prepared because Arum and DOD will be hunting her now. There is also a new boy in town named Blake. Daemon doesn't like him at all or trust him. Katy wants to learn more about her new found abilities and decides to train with him in secret.

Onyx had us glued from beginning till the end. I thought Daemon and Katy couldn't get any more steamy but I was wrong. This book gave me the finishing pieces I needed from Obsidian I was so glad these are now combined into one volume. This is a must read 5 out of 5 stars.

  1. Loved the reviews. I definitely need to check this series out soon!

  2. Great reviews! I have really enjoyed this series (reading Opal right now).

    1. I can not wait to hear what you think of Origin

  3. The series that started my love of all things Jennifer. I'm glad they put two books in one. I like the covers too. I would mind having an alien for a next door neighbor if he looked like Daemon. Thank you for the lovely review.
