5 Out of 5 Stars

Summary from Goodreads:

Reality is only an illusion.
Except for those who can control it…

Worst. Birthday. Ever.
My first boyfriend dumped me – happy birthday, Josie!- my dad is who knows where, I have some weird virus that makes me want to hurl, and now my ex is licking another girl’s tonsils. Oh, and I’m officially the same age as my brother was when he died. Yeah, today is about as fun-filled as the swamps of Dagobah. But then weird things start happening…
Like I make something materialize just by thinking about it.
When hot badass Reid Wentworth shows up on a motorcycle, everything changes. Like, everything. Who I am. My family. What really happened to my brother. Existence. I am Oculi, and I have the ability to change reality with my thoughts. Now Reid, in all his hotness, is charged with guiding and protecting me as I begin learning how to bend reality. And he’s the only thing standing between me and the secret organization that wants me dead…

Fallon's Review:

Anomaly starts out on Josie's Birthday which happens to be the worst day ever. Her dad is MIA and she is missing her brother who was killed years ago. To top it all off her boyfriend ends up dumping her at school. She keeps getting wicked migraines and then waves of nausea. The only upside to her day is her friends.

I love Josie bubbly friend Hannah. "Josie, if you don't make that wish soon, Sheldon Cooper is going to melt like the wicked witch from Oz." Josie does make a wish and she wishes for choice. Right after she makes her wish hot Reid pulls up on a motorcycle and Hannah says, " you didn't happen to wish for a hot dude, did you?" There is more to this hotty then meets the eye.

Anomaly was so infectious from beginning to end. Josie is a character that is relate able, cautious, smart and adorable. I found Anomaly to be the perfect book to fill the gap of humor in a science fiction book that has been lacking. This book had so many great visual elements with the abilities to push and retract. Yes their were some swoon worthy moments as well.

Anomaly caught me by surprise, this was a fast read that I thought I had all figured out and then the twist at the end I never saw coming. I can not wait to read book two and untangle more in the web of lies. I loved this book and am giving it 5 out of 5 stars. This is a must read!!!
