Dashing Ridley Dresden Teasers!

5 Out of 5 Stars

Author Description:

Bryn Aven is an outcast among the Kanin, the most powerful of the troll tribes.

Set apart by her heritage and her past, Bryn is a tracker who's determined to become a respected part of her world. She has just one goal: become a member of the elite King’s Guard to protect the royal family. She's not going to let anything stand in her way, not even a forbidden romance with her boss Ridley Dresden.

But all her plans for the future are put on hold when Konstantin– a fallen hero she once loved – begins kidnapping changelings. Bryn is sent in to help stop him, but will she lose her heart in the process?

Fallon's Review:

Thank you so much St. Martin's Press for the ARC for a fair and honest review.

Bryn has pale skin, blue eyes and golden hair the opposite of everyone in the Kanin troll tribe. Her mother was from a tribe closer to the sea and they looked very different from all other tribes. Her mother and father fell in love giving up their titles to be together. Living among her fathers tribe and looking more like her mother makes Bryn stand out.

Bryn has had to work harder then every other troll. She never inherited the abilities more pure blooded tribe members receive. She is determined to be the best tracker and worker harder then anyone. Her family and friends do not understand her drive and at times Bryn finds herself conflicted to want a life that is not all drive. Especially when it comes to her feelings for swoon worthy Ridley.

Bryn only sees vengeance against the boy she once crushed on and thought could do no wrong. Her world was crushed long ago and she will stop at nothing to exact revenge. Things start to unravel in this game of cat and mouse. The grudge she has held onto and the beliefs of Konstantin guilt may unravel and change everything she has believed.

Amanda Hocking draws you into this magical world and does not let go. This was a beautiful fantasy novel with a lot of mystery that will have you wanting more. Bryn is strong, determined, focused and yes sometimes misguided. Ridley is her swoon worthy dashing boss. He steals all the girls hearts and they enjoy every moment of it. His heart may be already tucked away a long time ago. I am so excited that Ice Kissed is not that far off. I am giving Frostfire 5 out of 5 stars and if you love fantasy with an edge of mystery this is the book for you!

Here is my feelings on having to part with Frostfire and wait for Ice Kissed! I am so glade all three books come out this year!
