Author Description:

Before she entered the Selection . . .
She was in love with a boy named Aspen Leger.

Don't miss this digital original novella set in the captivating world of Kiera Cass's #1 New York Times bestselling Selection trilogy. This brand new 64-page story begins just after the group of Selected girls is narrowed down to the Elite and is told from Aspen's point of view. The Guard also features a teaser to The One, the thrilling conclusion to The Selection trilogy.

Fallon's Review:

This book made me like Aspen a little more. I still don't think he is right for America. He understands who she used to be but does not see her potential for greatness. This was compilation of Aspens point of view on events that happened throughout The Selection and The Elite.

Kiera Cass gives you the first two chapters of The One and can I say cliffhanger. I wanted to die. I was like no I can not wait till this comes ou…

Instead, he woke up in a pile of rubble with no memories of his past - except one: a beautiful, dark-haired girl standing in the winds. She swept through his dreams ever since, and he clings to the hope that she's real.

Audra is real, but she isn't human. She's a sylph, an air elemental who can walk on the wind, translate its alluring songs, even twist it into a weapon. She's also a guardian - Vane's guardian - and has sworn an oath to protect him at all costs.

Author's Description:

Rapunzel’s tower is a satellite. She can’t let down her hair—or her guard.

In this third book in the bestselling Lunar Chronicles series, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.

Their best hope lies with Cress, who has been trapped on a satellite since childhood with only her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker—unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.

When a daring rescue goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing stop her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only ones who can.

Cress Tour Giveaway:

We attended Marissa Meyer's Cress Tour in Orlando, FL. Marissa Meyer's is so endearing and cute. If you can ever attend one of her events you have to go. She is so entertaining. She did Q&A, She told us all her story and about how her inspiration originated, then came time for her to tell a story. She told the original story of Cinderella and it was awesomely gory but age appropriate, lol. Then there came the signing which had a huge turn out. Marissa was sweet enough to sign all my books and some of my swag.

We discovered Amber Garr's Syrenka Series book last year. With our love of Mermaids this series was set apart from all the rest. Amber is so detail oriented and has an imagination unlike anything in this world. Next we found her New Adult book Waterproof and read the description and had to pick it up. We love Dystopian books. This is also one of my favorite books. I am so looking forward to book 2.
