Teaser Tuesday: Princess of Thorns by Stacey Jay ~ Review by Fallon

Princess of Thorns by
Game of Thrones meets the Grimm's fairy tales in this twisted, fast-paced romantic fantasy-adventure about Sleeping Beauty's daughter, a warrior princess who must fight to reclaim her throne.

Though she looks like a mere mortal, Princess Aurora is a fairy blessed with enhanced strength, bravery, and mercy yet cursed to destroy the free will of any male who kisses her. Disguised as a boy, she enlists the help of the handsome but also cursed Prince Niklaas to fight legions of evil and free her brother from the ogre queen who stole Aurora's throne ten years ago.

Will Aurora triumph over evil and reach her brother before it's too late? Can Aurora and Niklaas break the curses that will otherwise forever keep them from finding their one true love?

Fallon's Review:

What if the fairy-tale happened all wrong and Sleeping Beauty was awoken to early? That is what happened in this fairy-tale and it sends the world upside down. Now Aurora has to make her Kingdom right again. She must stay alive in the process when so many seek to destroy her.

Prince Niklaas needs to find Aurora and make her agree to marry him or he will fall prey to the curse that has taken all his siblings before him. He feels he is destined to be with Aurora. The two know something about curses and not letting them determine their fate.

Princess of Thorns by Stacey Jay is a 5 out of 5 stars. Princess of Thorns may take pieces of Fairy-tales but is unique and amazing in a category all on it's own. Aurora is a feisty, strong and determined girl that refuses to be a wallflower. Pretending to be a boy makes for some hilariously sticky moments. 1. Great review -- probably the best one I've read for this book. I think I would love it! Thinking about Sleeping Beauty waking up at the wrong time boggles my mind a little, so I'd like to read to see what happens.
