In this thrilling follow-up to Tin Star, Tula will need to rely on more than just her wits to save her only home in the sky.

After escaping death a second time, Tula Bane is now even thirstier for revenge. She spends much of her time in the Tin Star CafĂ© on the Yertina Feray—the space station she calls home. But when it's discovered that the desolate and abandoned planet near the station has high quantities of a precious resource, the once sleepy space station becomes a major player in intergalactic politics. In the spirit of the Gold Rush, aliens from all over the galaxy race to cash in—including Tula's worst enemy.

5 Out of 5 Stars

Tula finds that even with her change in status aboard the Yertina Feray nothing can last forever. The wealth has been noticed and Brother Blue is coming. Tula finds herself on the run and among wanderers. Not having a home planet is hard but not having anyone is even harder. She soon sparks a fire in the hearts of people who have lost all hope. They yearn to have Earth back and they see change in Tula.

Tula must decide to follow a path of love that make sense in every way or follow her heart into the unknown. She may find that life and circumstances change her goals for herself. At times you feel weird and uncomfortable wanting her to end up with an alien. I think that Cecil speaks volumes for the way people superficially judge who is acceptable instead of letting your heart guide you. We make things more complicated then maybe they need to be instead of letting the pieces fill in naturally.

This was an amazing end to an incredible duology. Cecil built layer upon layer of a world you were drawn into. Stone in the Sky swept me away and turned me all around till I was left completely knocked off my feet. There were moments of tears and moments of joy. If you are a science fiction fan then you need to read this duology. I am giving Stone in the Sky 5 out of 5 stars. What a great end!
