The Glass Arrow by Kristen Simmons ~ ARC Review by Fallon

5 Out of 5 Stars

Author Description:

The Handmaid’s Tale meets Blood Red Road in Glass Arrow, the story of Aya, who lives with a small group of women on the run from the men who hunt them, men who want to auction off breeding rights to the highest bidder.

In a world where females are scarce and are hunted, then bought and sold at market for their breeding rights, 15-year old Aya has learned how to hide. With a ragtag bunch of other women and girls, she has successfully avoided capture and eked out a nomadic but free existence in the mountains. But when Aya’s luck runs out and she’s caught by a group of businessmen on a hunting expedition, fighting to survive takes on a whole new meaning.
Fallon's Review:

Thank you so much Tor for the Amazing ARC and Finished Copy of Glass Arrow. Thank you so much Kristen Simmons for everything you do you are amazing.

Aya, is on the run. Men hunt girls to sell and have them breed to produce boys that are so desired in this future world. Aya has banded together with other people in the wild since her mother passed it is just her and the people she considers her family. Ever loyal when a member of her surrogate family falls she checks to see if she can save them. That happens to be her downfall.

Now captured Aya finds herself in a world where girls want to be sold and serve men. Hoping to be the girl that gets the highest bid. Aya has been told of the time before when women worked and lived along men. They were free to choose. She refuses to live this life set before her.

Kristen Simmons writing is so fierce and strong that it transcends to any gender. I was so happy to read a really great stand alone. This was a book I had been craving and did not even know it. This is a definite must read. I am giving this 5 out of 5 stars.
