Synopsis:

Some decisions have unimaginable consequences.

Every time someone makes a choice, a new parallel world is spun off the existing one. Eating breakfast or skipping it, sneaking out instead of staying in bed—every decision creates an alternate universe in which an Echo self takes the road not travelled. As a Walker who can navigate between these realities, Del is training to help keep the dimensions in harmony.

When Del secretly starts to investigate other dissonant worlds, she get tangled up with an Echo of her longtime crush. She knows she shouldn't keep seeing him. But as Del persists, she uncovers a truth that the Council of Walkers is trying to hide—a secret that threatens the entire multiverse.

Fallon's Review:

I was so excited to move this up my TBR list when the publisher sent me the ARC for Resonance. I bought Dissonance when it came out but obligations pushed it down on my shelf. I am so happy it got moved up. This was a swoon worthy read and I loved the meticulous detail that Erica O'Rourke puts into every chapter.

Del is a walker who has the ability to walk through parallel worlds. Every choice we make can change what could of happened and all the branches of what could have been make a new parallel reality with echos. Del has always noticed Simon. Simon never has noticed her until she meets Echo Simon in a parallel world and everything changes.

Simon in reality is much harder to crack then the Echo Simons. Del soon finds herself drawn more and more to walking and visiting Simon in the parallel worlds. However, soon Original Simon does notice Del and her world is about to get very complicated.

The end of Dissonance brought me to tears and I was so happy to be able to dive straight into Resonance. Erica wrote a book that will work it's way into your heart and stay long after. This is a story full of adventure and romance. I highly recommend this book!

Synopsis:

As a Walker between worlds, Del is responsible for the love of her life—and the fate of millions—in this thrilling sequel to Dissonance.

Del risked everything to save Simon, and now he’s gone, off in another world with no way for Del to find him.

She’s back at the Consort—training to be a Walker like everyone in her family. But the Free Walkers have other plans for her. This rebel group is trying to convince Del that the Consort is evil, and that her parents are unwittingly helping the Consort kill millions of people. The Free Walkers make Del the ultimate promise: if Del joins their fight, she will be reunited with Simon.

In agreeing, Del might be endangering her family. But if she doesn’t, innocent people will die, and Simon will be lost to her forever. The fate of the multiverse depends on her choice...

Fallon's Review:

Thank you so much Simon and Schuster. I received an ARC of Resonance from the publisher. This in no way changes my opinion of the book.

Resonance was just as great as Dissonance but for completely different reasons. Erica O'Rourke did such a fabulous job with all the details in making Walking a believable probability in Dissonance. In Resonance we get more of the emotions behind what is about to happen. There were definite OMG moments. I was in utter shock and even tweeted out the page number.

This book had everything. There were moments you did not see coming, there were moments of joy and swooning and then there were moments that brought me to tears. Erica touched my heart with book 1 and with this book she touched my soul.

If you are looking for a book that is unlike any you have read then this is the series for you. I am a huge fan of Erica's and am so excited to see what she writes next. This is a series you will want to read over and over again.
