Rating: 4 Out of 5 Stars

Summary from Goodreads:
Sophie—now Catherine, Grand Duchess of Russia—had a tough first year at Imperial Court. Married at sixteen to Grand Duke Peter, heir to the throne, and settled in their own palace, things are finally looking up. As a new day dawns, she thinks only of securing her future, and the future of their country, during one of the greatest political upheavals of her time. Fighting desperately against forces trying to depose the Empress Elizabeth and put the young Prince Ivan on her throne, Sophie soon finds herself in the middle of a war brewing between her beloved Prussia, and her new empire. But even as she navigates the fragile political landscape, she quickly realizes that she has only begun to discover the tangled web of deceit and infidelity woven over the lavish court of Oranienbaum Palace.

When a strange and delicate alliance forms between the young couple, she glimpses a future of happiness, only to see it lost in a moment at the hands of those who still seek to end her life—and prevent her reign. Out of favor with the empress and running out of options, Sophie will have to sacrifice her own innocence on the altar of Russia if she is to save the nation, and herself. To survive, she will have to do the unthinkable, betray those closest to her and become something greater and more dangerous than she ever imagined she could be… a queen.

Fallon's Review:

Queen of Tomorrow was such an emotional journey full of moments no one should have to endure. Book 1 was a ride full of self discovery and the very nature of court. Book 2 Queen of Tomorrow you get to strip down to the very core of the things Sophie will have to endure to keep her crown.

There are moments tears just poured down my eyes. f you have ever had to endure any one of the horrors Sophie faces in this book then it will stab and reopen that wound and just tear at your heart strings. I loved Queen of Someday for wishing I was more like Sophie with her fierceness but I related to her in this book.

There were moments I liked Peter and wanted to feel for him and then there were moments that I could not stand him and thought he deserved something horrible to happen to him.

Sherry has made me a huge fan of her work and I am so excited for book 3. I can not wait to see what happens next. I know Sophie is just getting started and I hope everyone is prepared for the fury and the storm she is about to unleash. This is a must read!

Fallon's Review for Queen of Someday:

This was my first time diving into a Historical Fiction read and I loved it more then I expected and am so grateful to Sherry D. Ficklin for giving me a new Genre to explore.

Sophie is such a spitfire fierce character that we get to follow her adventures and mishaps in a world of royalty where anything can happen. Sophie is a pawn in a very dangerous game. She knows what she wants but may have to risk more than she ever expected in order to accomplish her goals.

Sophie's character was a definite shining light. While other characters were great too I just loved exploring this determined Heroine. Watching her find love and then realizing loving someone does not mean you always get your happily ever after. Not even royals get to chose the course of the lives they lead. They are all pawns.

I was so excited to be part of this tour and flew through Queen of Someday and needed book 2. This is a book you will pick up and not want to put down.
