After helping to rescue Princess Aislynn, Elanor has finally rejoined the rebel camp she calls home. Stolen from her parents at a young age and forced into service by the Wicked Queen, Elanor now wants nothing more than to see the queen removed from power. But Elanor has secrets, mistakes she’s spent years trying to forget, and the closer the rebels get to the throne, the harder it is for Elanor to keep her past hidden away.

With fellow rebels on her side—including Princess Aislynn, Thackery, and the handsome and mysterious Matthias—it is time for Elanor to make a decision. Will she protect her secrets? Or risk everything to save the people she loves?

The thrilling companion to Elissa Sussman’s masterful and original fairy tale, Stray, that will appeal to readers of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale and fans of Wicked, Into the Woods, and the Disney princess movies.

Thank you Elissa for sending me an ARC for review. This in no way affected my opinion.

When I signed up for the tour I had not yet read Stray but had been wanting to. I was told Burn was a companion novel so I did not need to read book 1. That being said I am so glad I read Stray first. Burn had main characters come into the story from book 1. I was so happy about that aspect as well. I loved Stray but at the end I wanted more and knew Burn was Elanor's story. Well Elissa Sussman gives you everything you want and more.

Elanor is such a determined and strong willed character. She does not trust easy and that makes her story so captivating for me. Elanor's story had some twist and turns and some I did see coming. I loved every minute and even screamed "I knew it!" Oh and I am obsessed with Dagger the pet fox. I love foxes and I need one now. This fox is literally the best pet. He makes everything better and sticks by you and never wanders.

This story had everything I expected and more. I am so hoping for more in this series. I mean there has to be more. Even the evil characters are fabulous. Burn has moments of betrayal, friendship, discovery, loss, heartache, action, deception, romance and magic. This is a must read!
