Delaney’s entire world is thrown into chaos after she is mistaken for Lissa Olena, an alien princess hiding out on Earth in order to escape an arranged marriage.

Kidnapped by the princess’s head bodyguard, Ruckus, and imprisoned in an alien palace, Delaney is forced to impersonate the princess until Olena can be found. If she fails, it will lead to an alien war and the eventual enslavement of the entire human race.

No pressure or anything.

Factor in Trystan, the princess’s terrifying betrothed who is intent on unraveling all her secrets, and her own growing feelings for Ruckus, and Delaney is in way over her head.

Get lost Amid Stars and Darkness, in this YA sci-fi romance from debut author Chani Lynn Feener.

Thank you Fierce Reads for sending me a copy of Amid Stars and Darkness for review. This in no way affected my opinion.

I love a good alien read and this one swept me up and I enjoyed the ride. Unlike a lot of the alien books I read that are set on earth, this one she is taken to the other planet. I really enjoyed that perspective since we get to see things for the first time through Delaney's eyes.

Delaney finds herself in a messy situation. An Alien princess used a device to make Delaney look like her, so she did not have to go back to her alien planet. Instead mistaken identity befalls Delaney and she is now in an unknown world with a face that is not her own and is now betrothed to an enemy who hates her.

Trystan is betrothed to the princess he can not stand but soon starts to notice the girl he hates is nothing like he remembered. Rockus is her protector and is willing to save Delaney at all costs. Feelings might be developing for one or both of these aliens but ultimately  Delaney wants to get home.

I really liked Rockus through most of the book but Trystan has layers to him that you just want to peel back. He has that thing you want to know more about. I can not wait for more of his characer development in book 2.

I loved Amid Stars and Darkness and OMG that ending. It is one cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more.
